Winter  time. Exit hat and bikini, bare feet and flowy white dresses. Exit cheerful accessories and colorblocking. As we enter the season, we tend to go towards cosy cashmere and woolen fabrics in darker hues: chocolate, black, burgundy. Does that mean we have to totally rule out the sun and the festive colours? What about all those bright colours hanging in your closet, feeling lonely?

Mix and match. Come on, don’t be shy, you’ll see that this yellow blouse that you paid a fortune for and worn twice has a second life during colder times.

Now, you might think yellow is the most difficult colour to assemble but simply tame that top with grey pants or on the contrary awaken a black head to toe outfit.

Pink? An instant feminine feel and good mood enhancer. Coral and pale shades will make navy blue less severe. Fuschia will match any brown.

Yes to red pants to dynamite camel tones!

Teal will reveal different shades of burgundy.

And remember, white in winter will match all colors as long as it is worn appropriately; so get those boots, fur coats and chapkas kicking.

So go ahead, keep on colorblocking even when temperatures go low, you’ll be sure to see a lot of compliments coming your way…
