Cinderella’s new accessory: Louboutin
Do fashionistas believe in fairy tales? You’d better believe it. Christian Louboutin, the designer of shoes that are sold-out all around the world to those in-the-know, has just given life to one of the most iconic fairytale objects in the world: Cinderella’s slippers. The slippers rightly capture the fairytale-feel, with their dainty lace, embroidered with crystals and each adorned with two butterflies: one delicately placed on the toe of the shoes whilst the other sits nicely at the top of the glitter covered heel. The shoes display the Louboutin signature red sole. Disney was at the heart of this unprecedented idea, which was revealed during Paris Fashion Week and will consist of a very exclusive production, as only 20 pairs will be made. These magical heels will not be commercialized… however as part of the re-launching of the new Cinderella box set in Blu-ray and DVD on the 26th of September, Disney will be giving a pair to a few lucky and eternal princesses. So that they can be happy, at least for the duration of a season, because as the shoemaker rightly states, “just like a magic wand, these slippers have the power to grant their wearer confidence, beauty and love…”
